Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, identified the features of the Islamic Revolution in Iran by being a just authority based on Islam and the centrality of the people in determining pathways, until the people of Iran became a nation with awareness and faced internal despotism and external arrogance, plus independence and sovereignty, pride and starting of changing the regime rather than changing values.


This took place in a celebration organized by the Iranian embassy to mark the thirty-eighth anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran in Baghdad Thursday, 09/02/2017.


His eminence indicated that the most important attributes of success were represented under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (sanctify his soul) the world religious authority, who knows his religion and the concerns of his time and the depended on God and characterized by knowledge and justice and faith in the divine victory, as well as having a clear vision of the Islamic concept for the management of the state and society in accordance with the conditions and challenges, the late Imam was characterized by the ability to raise the mettle of people and being close to them, despite of being exiled and facing the most notorious tyrants of the era.


His eminence indicated that the Imam Khomeini had a national project that was agreed by all nationalities, races Iranian political readings, citing that he handed power to those who are outside the Islamic movement and gave them an leadership opportunity, describing Imam Khamenei (long live) as the finest successor to the best predecessor, who worked to consolidate the project and protect it from challenges, until Iran became the only country capable of mobilizing millions of people every year. The leaderships of the Islamic revolution, if it is the late Imam or Imam Khamenei, was characterized by being straightforward with the people and illustrate the challenges afflicting the country in order to mobilize the public to face these challenges.


His eminence indicated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has supported the people against the dictatorship and post-war between Saddam and the Iranian people, and was the first country to take the initiative in supporting the change in Iraq, and the first to support Iraq in the face of Daesh, this is because Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei know the nature of Iraq for both had lived in Iraq and studied in its Hawza (Shiite Islamic seminaries) which enabled them to first hand learn about Iraq, plus the geographical location between Iraq and Iran, the borderline, social relationship and common interests.


Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim indicated that Iraq and Iran and the region are facing significant challenges that need calmness, and that Iraq will be a bridge to settle disputes in the region, and will avoid sensitivities when addressing the problems, stressing that Iraq is strong with its components and its project and in support for Iran and the region.
